This past weekend I got to celebrate my 21st birthday in Walt Disney World. Specifically, Epcot! It was the best way I could possibly imagine celebrating twenty one years. I'm going to be showing you where to get some of the delicious drinks and food while keeping it (semi) healthy, because lets be real. We're celebrating!
Starting off at Raglan Road in Disney Springs. At midnight on July 15th my sister, brother-in-law, and boyfriend took me to get my first drink being twenty one. At first my sister, Ryann surprised me by taking me to the Disney Boardwalk which unfortunately everything was closing for the night. So we had to take a rain check on that one. We ended up going were she celebrated her 21st at Raglan Road. IT WAS SO FUN. It's an Irish Pub with live music, great drinks, food, and very happy people! I got the Mixed Berry Margarita (first photo below) which was so good! Highly recommend this place.
I also went to the Hangar Bar in Disney Springs to get this drink I saw that came in a monkey cup on Instagram. When I got it, it was in a plastic cup and I was so sad, because lets be real I just wanted the cup. It was called the Cool-Headed Monkey which came with Starr African Rum, Tangerine Liqueur, Fresh Lime Juice, Watermelon, and Pineapple Juice. It sounds a lot better than it tasted. Lol!
Disclaimer: If you are severely allergic to gluten and trying to avoid it completely, please ask your bartender for the drinks that are gluten free. As I am just now exploring the world of gluten free alcohol.
The next day, we woke up bright and early and headed to Epcot to spend the entire day there! Let me just say...it was SO hot, but so worth going. Such a fun day. Disney never disappoints! The only thing I had on my agenda for this day was to get myself an avocado margarita from La Cava Del Tequila in Mexico. YUM. Its creamy and refreshingly cold, with real avocado blended right in. Highly recommend; this little place is so cute. Perfect family atmosphere. Also, get the guacamole! Probably THE best guacamole we've ever had!
For lunch we headed to Japan for some cheap, yet delicious sushi in one of the quick service restaurants they have called Katsura Grill. If I'm being completely honest this was probably the best vegetable sushi I've ever had. Hands down. I got one order of veggie sushi, a side order of cold edamame, and steamed white rice. They also have gluten free soy sauce on request! Sooooo good. (Also, you can ask for a cup of ice water for no charge.) Along with my delicious meal I enjoyed some Merlot I bought in Italy on the way over!
From there we enjoyed the amazing rides they have in Epcot along with exploring from country to country inside all the shops they have in each. The guys continued there journey of beers around the world and I was so stuffed from lunch and my two drinks! ;) Epcot is so fun to just explore and there is so much to do!
Lastly I wanted to add in that the night before, Adam and I went to Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs and enjoyed some nice music by the water! Blaze Pizza is incredible for food allergies, especially gluten and dairy allergies. They change their gloves, get the gluten free dough from a different area of the restaurant, have Daiya vegan cheese, and you can pick unlimited toppings for very cheap! One of my favorite places to eat here.
Thanks for exploring Disney with me! Feel free to comment below telling me some of your favorite parts of about visiting Epcot and Disney Springs. I'd love to know! :)
